under-represented in this space
The video explores how lasers and photonics are powering a growing advanced manufacturing economy and emphasizes that its benefits must be accessible to everyone. The Sukuta Foundation works to close the gap between STEM education and bankable careers by connecting underrepresented people with professional and entrepreneurial opportunities through workshops, programs, and job fairs. Its free Coast-to-Coast Lasers and Photonics Job Fair Expo, along with donation and sponsorship opportunities, supports workforce development, economic mobility, industry diversity, and inclusive innovation

While there is already a big push to get students into sciences and laser academic studies there is very little being done to direct them to “bankable” laser careers thereafter. We are here to fulfill that niche and we invite you to participate in, and support, our programs so that together we can make a difference.
