Hands-On Laser Beam Profiling and Measurement Workshop
Description
This workshop offers participants the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with laser beam profilers and implementing best practices through a blend of demonstrations and hands-on laboratory exercises. It will involve the test and measurement of laser beam spatial properties that include M2, Rayleigh Range, Depth of Focus, Beam Divergence, Gaussian Fit, Size, and Ellipticity (Astigmatism/Asymmetry). These are among the set of typical laser beam performance specifications generally required when selling, buying, and before using a laser/laser system.

About the Instructor
Sydney Sukuta is currently a Laser Technology professor at San Jose City College. He also has industry experience working for some of the world's leading laser manufacturers in Silicon Valley where he saw first-hand the issues they encounter daily. In response, Dr. Sukuta developed prescriptive short courses to help absolve most of these issues.
